About Bigglesworth British Shorthair

Several years ago I was quickly becoming a cat show widow, with my wife going off to various parts of the Country with her precious Siamese and Orientals.  Wanting to show some interest, I agreed to go with her to one of these shows and it was on this occasion I was introduced to the British Shorthair breed.

It was love at first sight and I was soon asking lots of question to breeders and people at shows to get as much knowledge of the breed as possible.

Our first British Queen was Tickle, a blue cream who came to live with us, having already had her first litter.  Not liking the show bench she quickly established herself as owning the sofa and dare anyone try to get in her way!  She has now been retired from breeding.

We now have 6 British queens and have made the decision to specialise in blues and lilac's in self and bi-colour and white's, my favourite colours.

All our girls and boys are treasured members of my family and everything is done in their best interest and health.  The cats have both inside and outside accommodation so that they can enjoy the fresh air and laze in the sun.

All kittens are born in our bedroom where they stay until they are big enough to move into the main living room of the house where they become accustomed to all the normal household noises, our 7 children, 3 dogs and even a tortoise!
